Itinerary for Wednesday, June 4: Washington DC


6:30 a.m.              Breakfast, Mansours

7:30 a.m.              Leave for Washington D.C.  East I-66 to Constitution Avenue; east on                 Constitution Avenue to 17th Street; right on 17th to Independence Ave;               right on Independence Ave westbound but get into left lane immediately to       get into eastbound lanes; Stay in right lane as you cross bridge; take                     immediate right to find free parking along the Tidal Basin. Park as near the       entrance to the parking area as possible. Ensure that no liquids but one               bottled drink each are in knapsacks before leaving vehicles.

8:30 a.m.              Walking Tour, East National Mall to Capitol Hill
·         Library of Congress self-guided tour (opens at 8:30 a.m.)
·         United States Supreme Court Building self-guided tour (opens at 9:00)
·         Senate Russell building to collect Senate and House gallery tickets

10:15 a.m.           United States Capitol Building Visitor Center

11:00 a.m.           United States Capitol Building guided tour (www.aoc.gov)

12:15 p.m.           Return to vehicles and lunch, prepared sandwiches and snacks

12:30 p.m.           Leave Parking; follow Independence Ave east to 14th Street (US 1); south        on US 1 (becomes I-395 to Pentagon City Mall Parking; walk to Pentagon          Visitor Center.

1:00 p.m.             Arrive, Pentagon Visitor Center

2:00 p.m.             Guided Pentagon Tour and visit with USAF Chaplain and Brigadier General       Bobby V. Page.

3:30 p.m.             Leave Pentagon City Mall Parking; drive to Arlington National Cemetery

4:00 p.m.             Arrive, Arlington National Cemetery (www.arlingtoncemetery.org)

5:00 p.m.             Leave Arlington National Cemetery;

5:30 p.m.             Return, Mansours


7:00 p.m.             Dinner, Mansours
